What to Wear When It's Fall, But It's Still Really Hot Outside
Happy Monday, folks!
After a very hot (read: miserable) weekend -- if you follow me on Snapchat, then you know my AC broke this weekend #perfecttiming -- I'm ready for the week! It's going to be a busy one, but busy is good. It's better than bored, right?
Also if you follow me on Snapchat (would you just do it already?), you know I've taken on yet another form of content: vlogging. Yes, that's right, I'm going for it.
I can't believe I'm going to be one of those people I used to roll my eyes at -- walking through the streets of New York City talking to a camera. Hey, at least I'll blend in with the crazies!
In these vlogs, you can expect to see more of my 9 to 5 in fashion, behind the scenes of running my own business (this blog!) and creating content, and other real life ish. I've gotten really great feedback on what I share on the snap currently, so we're going to take it to the next level!
Now, about the look...
Every year around this time, I get into a fashion rut where I feel uninspired and don't know what to wear. My heart is ready for fall, but my body? Girl, it FEELS these temps! It's way too hot and sticky to dress in all my new fall gear, but all my favorite stores are decked out in all things fall. Can you feel my struggle?
For this look, I re-purposed one of my favorite dresses from last summer and wore it as a tunic, I love that it has bell sleeves, which are still "in," and seem to be sticking around for fall/winter. I tucked it into a pair of bright blue jeans to achieve that hi-lo hem effect and paired it with fall-appropriate accessories. So there - not quite "fall," but almost!
