weekend recap: #Justice4Trayvon #RIPCoryMonteith

DIY Cocoa & Hearts, how to paint abstract art

While I planned to have a low-key, stay-at-home-and-do-nothing kind of weekend—in preparation for the craziness that's to come in the next couple of weeks (parties, my birthday, back-to-back concerts, etc.)—I was pleased to cross off several things on my to-do list. Naturally, I got the boring stuff out of the way first (i.e. cleaning, laundry, and re-organizing my closet), and left the good stuff for last. Oh, and, I finally got around to painting some of the artwork in my apartment–pictures to come soon!

I painted my nails more times than I'd like to admit (hint: more than three), and nibbled on fresh fruit I picked up at the market on Saturday.

I managed to make it out of the house to pick up a sweet treat at Momofuku Milk Bar. Their 'crack' pie is, well, just that—CRACK!

Moodboarding for an upcoming project in one of my FIT styling courses; I may or may not feature it on the blog.

Not pictured: I also watched copious amounts of TV—had to catch up on my shows since I was away in the Dominican Republic last week—and flipped ripped through loads of magazines looking for inspiration for upcoming posts.

My thoughts and prayers go out to Trayvon Martin's family. #Justice4Trayvon

Also, RIP Cory Monteith. What a tragic weekend...
